Philanthropy and volunteerism.

GLS has a long history of supporting our local communities as well as supporting those in need who have been impacted by natural disaster. As part of our commitment, we support non-profit organizations through financial contributions, employee-led supply drives, as well as employee volunteerism. Through our volunteerism initiative, we provide every associate paid volunteer-time-off to support their preferred non-profit causes.

Our social impact efforts are primarily focused in three areas:

  • Organizations that improve the lives of children & families
  • Helping to improve education and financial literacy
  • Aiding those impacted by natural disasters

Some of our efforts include:

Corporate Financial Donations: GLS has improved the lives of others through direct financial donations to many charities that align with our philanthropy mission. GLS has long-standing relationships with local food banks, Boys & Girls Clubs, Ronald McDonald House, Little Steps, Pendleton Place and Arizona Children’s Charities.

Employee Financial Donations: GLS partners with United Way to enable employees to make financial donations to United Way or their preferred non-profits through payroll deductions. In addition to the employee contribution, GLS provides a 50% match on all employee donations through United Way to increase the impact we can make on our local non-profits.

Employee Donation Drives: Our teams play a huge part in providing local charities with the needed supplies to assist our communities. Teams lead employee-initiated donation drives to support local food banks, back-to-school initiatives, toys for tots, and critical supplies to local non-profit organizations.

Disaster Relief: Our support extends beyond our local communities, by supporting those living in areas impacted by natural disasters. Our sales representatives across the country partner with business owners in the community to provided much-needed supplies and relief.

Volunteer-Time-Off: Every employee receives 4 hours of paid time off each year to support their preferred non-profit causes. This is an incredible opportunity to provide hands on support through mentorship, financial literacy, or supporting any one of our local non-profits.

Financial Literacy: Improving education and financial literacy is a key component of our mission. GLS offers all customers the opportunity to access free financial literacy programs through our complimentary resource portal. In addition, GLS partners with local colleges to offer financial literacy seminars for students. It’s a great way to ensure folks have the skills to manage their credit as they begin to enter the workforce.
