No, getting pre-qualified does not affect your credit score. The pre-qualification process reviews your credit history and credit score as part of a soft inquiry.
In order to pre-qualify for a specific vehicle, first submit a pre-qualification request that will perform a soft pull of your credit history without affecting your credit score. Once that request has been approved, you will need to pre-qualify for the specific vehicle you are interested in by selecting the vehicle, providing Cash Down and trade-in information, then getting personalized rates. Finally, you will need to save/print out the Offer Summary Letter to lock down your rates for that specific vehicle at a specific dealer.
Your pre-qualification offer is valid for 30 days from the day that your pre-qualification request was received.

Congratulations! You've been pre-qualified with Global Lending Services. Once you have found the right vehicle and offer for you, print out the Offer Summary Letter. Take this letter to the specified dealership, so that the dealer will know you have been pre-qualified with GLS.
Several factors play a role in determining your offer(s). These factors include but are not limited to:
You may be required to make a down payment or trade another vehicle in. The required cash down amount will depend on your credit history, vehicle value, requested loan amount, and other factors. The required cash down amount or trade-in will be included in your pre-qualification offer.
GLS is committed to providing you with an offer(s) that are appropriate for your requested cash down amount, trade-in value, and income. If GLS is unable to provide an offer without requiring a significantly larger down payment, those vehicles outside of your approximate budget will not be displayed.
Your pre-qualified offers can change once at the dealership for a variety of reasons. Reasons include but are not limited to, the credit application submitted at the dealership has different personal information from what was submitted in the pre-qualification process such as discrepancy in income amount, changes in cash down amount, or the selection of a different vehicle. GLS will re-evaluate your application, which could result in a different offer.
Once at the dealership, be sure to let the dealer know you are a pre-qualified with GLS by showing them your Offer Summary Letter. This letter includes all the items that you will be required to show the dealer. These items may include but are not limited to:
Your pre-qualification allows you to view and compare deal structures and rates on multiple vehicles. When it comes to purchasing, your pre-qualification can only be used to purchase a single vehicle.
